National Theatre Live is back at Multikino
If, like me, you are a theatre enthusiast, you should know about the new cycle of plays screened at Multikino cinemas all around Poland. This is a unique opportunity to take part in some of the most prestigious cultural events in Europe. You may find tickets a bit more expensive than for normal movie screenings, but when you compare them to London theatre ticket prices (50-250 pounds, with the cheapest tickets giving you a very poor viewing experience), the price is a reaaaally good deal! The performances are filmed in front of a live audience, as normal theatre shows, so you can feel as if you were actually there, except you can see the actors' faces up close, plus you have subtitles in Polish if you don't trust your English well enough ;)
So, if you want to experience something extraordinary, treat yourself to an evening at one of the best theatres in the world: National Theatre Live. The highlights of this season for me are All about Eve with Jillian Anderson and Lilly James, and Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream with none other than Gwendoline Christie (aka Brienne of Tarth!) as Titania. This, for me, is certainly a dream come true.
